Yarrow or Achillea millefolium (common names Common Yarrow, nosebleed (krwawienie z nosa).plant, Old Man's Pepper, Staunchweed and Soldier's Woundwort) is a flowering plant in the family Asteraceae, native to the Northern Hemisphere. Yarrow is known as herbal militaris, for its use in staunching the flow of blood from wounds. This is one of my favorite herbs because of its easy accessiblity to stop bleeding from skinned knees and other forms of bleeding. The leaves encourage clotting, so it can be used fresh for nosebleed.

Smoldering multiple myeloma is a type of multiple myeloma that is slow-growing. The smoldering symptoms do not cause the damage that is seen commonly with other types of myeloma. The plasma cells tend to make high levels of monoclonal proteins due to certain abnormalities in them. This leads to rise of protein level in urine, blood as well as increase in myeloma cells in the bone marrow. Most of the patients with smoldering multiple myeloma do not exhibit the advanced multiple myeloma symptoms like kidney problems, hypercalcemia, susceptibility to infections, bone lesions, etc. There are no smoldering symptoms seen in patients and is usually detected when the disease progresses to symptomatic phase of multiple myeloma.
